Great battle between Arizona and ASU. Bobby Hurley lost his voice about halfway through the 2nd half according to the sideline reporter.
Arizona held on to win...but what a tough out these two squads will be.

This week in the Pac 12:
Oregon and OSU battle as well as Washington and Wazzu.
Arizona and ASU hit the road to Utah and Colorado (big week for the Utes if they could steal one of these two).
USC and UCLA head up to Cal and Stanford.
After one week, here's the +/- for road wins/home losses:
Utah +2
Cal +1
Washington +1
UCLA 0
Arizona 0
ASU 0
Colorado 0

Chimezie Metu suspended for a half for his punch.

ASU could be 0-3 after this weekend. We should really help them get there.
Also, barring a significant upset, Arizona is probably going to be undefeated well into the double digits looking at their schedule.
Winning on the road is always important.
I build a program to track road conference wins and home losses.
+1 for road win, -1 for home loss
Here are the current standings.
Road Pac12 TEAM Road Home +1 (3-1) UCLA (1-1) (2-0) +1 (2-1) Utah (2-0) (0-1) 0 (2-1) USC (1-0) (1-1) +2 (2-1) Washington (2-1) (0-0) +1 (2-1) Arizona (1-1) (1-0) -1 (2-1) Oregon State (0-0) (2-1) 0 (2-2) Colorado (0-2) (2-0) -1 (1-1) Stanford (0-0) (1-1) -1 (1-2) California (1-0) (0-2) -1 (1-2) Oregon (0-1) (1-1) 0 (0-2) Arizona State (0-2) (0-0) -1 (0-3) Washington State (0-2) (0-1)
This will put my measly spreadsheet to shame, I fear.

This week in Pac 12 Hoops:
Utah/Colorado @ USC/UCLA
Oregon/Oregon St. @ Arizona/Arizona St.
Cal/Stanford @ Washington/Washington St.
USC handled Colorado pretty easily last night, pulling away in the second half. Metu finished with 6 blocks, so he should have a field day against our bigs. Andy Enfield took a timeout late in the game for no other reason than to stick it in Boyle's face after his comments about USC and Arizona and the FBI investigation. In the handshake line, he didn't say anything to Boyle, just walked through with a massive sh!t-eating smile on his face and kept going. At least one USC player refused to shake Boyle's hand. What a pack of losers.
Edit - here's an article from yahoo: https://sports.yahoo.com/uscs-needle...070025862.html
So ucla shoots the lights out against us but can't hit anything vs Colorado and loses

UCLA/USC @ Oregon/OSU
Wash/Wazzu @ Utah/Colorado
After this week, there are only two weekends where all teams will be playing both games of the weekend (Games 13-14, 17-18).
Tough loss for Stanford. Arizona takes over first place.

So with the usc wins and assuming big favorites, asu wins in berkley and utah a 10.5 point favorite wins tomorrow. The standings at the ~midpoint would be
Az 6-1
Usc 6-2
Stan 5-2
Ucla 4-4
Wash 4-4
Utah 4-4 or 3-5 (vs wazzu)
Colorado 4-4
Oregon st 3-4
Oregon 3-4
Asu 3-4
Cal 1-6
Wazzu 1-6 or 2-5 (vs Utah)
Second half of season thoughts:
Stan loses 6 of their last 9.
If Utah wins in Tempe they can get 4th seed
