“True, we [lawyers] build no bridges. We raise no towers. We construct no engines. We paint no pictures - unless as amateurs for our own principal amusement. There is little of all that we do which the eye of man can see. But we smooth out difficulties; we relieve stress; we correct mistakes; we take up other men's burdens and by our efforts we make possible the peaceful life of men in a peaceful state.”
--John W. Davis, founder of Davis Polk & Wardwell
My wife went paragliding in the Tetons this summer. It was really weird to watch someone sort of glide off of a mountain. She loved it.
I'll bet it was cheaper than skydiving and she didn't have to take a class or anything (since she was strapped to a guide).
She was in the air for somewhere around 20-25 minutesParagliding in the Tetons.jpg.

Solon, that is awesome. We camp every summer at Colter Bay on Jackson Lake and will definitely be checking this out.
