“True, we [lawyers] build no bridges. We raise no towers. We construct no engines. We paint no pictures - unless as amateurs for our own principal amusement. There is little of all that we do which the eye of man can see. But we smooth out difficulties; we relieve stress; we correct mistakes; we take up other men's burdens and by our efforts we make possible the peaceful life of men in a peaceful state.”
--John W. Davis, founder of Davis Polk & Wardwell
It sounds like Dehlin and Kelly have had a major falling out with Kelly accusing him of exploiting women to grow his podcast in a since deleted facebook rant.
In the years since these two have entered the discussion on lds faith crisis, I've gained some respect for dehlin. I still believe he's a bit of an attention seeker but I think he and people like debra jenson genuinely care about people.
Kelly on the other hand is a complete nut.
Slightly off topic but a while back I was helping out with a charitable event and posted a link to it on Facebook. The funniest comment I got was, "I would have loved to help but I already helped Kate Kelly get a laptop."

I probably phrased that poorly. I agree that Kelly is passionate about her causes, I just think she lacks the honesty and self control to be taken seriously. Just looking through dehlin s long response on his own page, there's a lot of strong ow folks who are distancing themselves from her.
I also think dehlin is out for himself and his name getting out there. But I also think he genuinely cares about the world around him. I don't know.
Debra is the somewhat leader of ow now. She is sincere in what she does but unfortunately, I think Kelly has made that group hard to take seriously for many.
