Trump wins!!!! Go GOP!
This year's election will not be "voting for" but rather "voting against" a candidate(s).

Conspiracy theory: Kasich is the back-room GOP nominee the GOP will put forth if Trump fails to win the nomination on the first ballot, which Kasich is actively helping the GOP try to make sure happens.
I actually like Kasich, I would be okay with that. Truthfully, despite being a far distance behind everyone he is the most palatable candidate left. I heard an interview with him that might support your theory. He was questioned about why he remained in the race despite a statistical impossibility of winning, to which he replied he fully expected to win the nomination still (alluding to the brokered convention). It could be that Republican establishment has encouraged him to stay in the race to force the open convention with the agreement that he'll get the nomination. Let's not forget that Cruz, along with being insane, has done a lot to embarrass the Republican party and contribute to its less-than-favorable view among voters.
In short, your conspiracies intrigue me, I'd like to subscribe to your newsletter.

As far as I'm concerned, anybody who claims that pornography doesn't cause any measurable or long term societal ills has no merit.
Why and what does this have to do with the 2016 presidential election?
Because if these are the best potential nominees we can come up, it is proof our society is very very ill.

What is the worst religious pandering faux pas of the election season so far: Kasich invoking Jesus when explaining the Passover in New York or Ted Cruz invoking Hoosiers in Hickory and calling the rim a "basketball ring"?

Hopefully he’s planning to announce he’s now learned that a “basketball ring” is commonly referred to as a hoop. Good lord, man.

Unfortunately that list does not clearly overlap with "people who would really help Ted Cruz beat Donald Trump in Indiana and California."

On the list of "people who would accept being Ted Cruz's shadow running mate," Fiorina is probably the best choice.
Here is a rationale for picking Fiorina
The pick is likely to please a crucial constituency of one: Robert Mercer, who has been one of the most generous benefactors of Cruz’s super PAC, giving it $11 million. Mercer is also a Fiorina fan, sending $500,000 to super PAC that backed her own presidential run.
If Cruz is to be competitive in California, his campaign and super PAC are likely to need an infusion of millions of additional dollars for ads and mail in the sprawling state ahead of the June 7 primary.

Cruz has such a remarkable track record of being disliked, and not just by his colleagues but also by staff and others who work with him it simply can't be dismissed.
The same can be said of Hillary too though.

In response, Members of the Satanic Temple try to distance themselves from Cruz.
Shame on all of them.

This is a long but superb analysis of Trumpism by Andrew Sullivan:
Democracies end when they are too democratic.
And right now, America is a breeding ground for tyranny.

Satan tries to snatch Fiorino back by opening the gates of hell under her feet.
This is a great piece:
The Eve of Trump’s High Water Mark
Excerpt:
Let’s start by recognizing that the Republican electorate was ripe for a Trump.
In retrospect more of us should have anticipated that they would be willing to fall for a candidate that had a mindless mantra about “winning” because they were tired of losing to President Obama and the Democrats for the last seven years. The Tea Party insurgency played a useful role in mobilizing the grass roots in 2010 and 2014, but history teaches us that if not restrained by wise leaders, revolutions turn on themselves. That is what happened in the last two years. Having bought into the idea that their party needed to fight an all-out battle against Obama, the Republican electorate picked the candidate least associated with the dreaded party establishment as their vehicle for voter rage. A large segment of the population also felt so frustrated with a culture of political correctness imposed by liberal elites that they embraced a candidate with the ability to hurl vulgar insults with impunity.
But nothing in history is truly inevitable. Most Republicans were slow to realize the extent of the threat Trump posed or his strength. Had they done so and consolidated support of mainstream GOP activists, donors, and voters behind a consensus pick Trump would likely not have been able to win pluralities in most of the early voting states. Had that happened, the Trump movement might have been contained and beaten.
But such counter-factual scenarios must also take into account that the Trump fever, fed in part by anger about Congressional Republican failures was also the manifestation of a broader cultural battle in which many Americans felt as if they were losing their country. Trump is the symptom not the disease. Trump’s promises of a mythical return to greatness in which political correctness and the reality of a changing global economy as well as the changing demographics of American politics can be ignored may well have been too alluring to be resisted. In their more thoughtful moments, most Republicans know that a wall for which Mexico could be compelled to pay (among other fables told by Trump) can’t insulate the country from disturbing economic and cultural changes. Trump may,as our Pete Wehner points out, fight dirty in a way that will give a visceral thrill to many on the right, but even the most truculent billionaire can’t turn back the hands of time.
