Melissa McArthy's send up of Spicer has been awesome.

She brought me to tears in Bridesmaids. So, so funny.

Having said that, maybe you could change the thread to Celebrities and Politics or something more broad. The Oscars alone will give us pages of great material.

    That was great...

“It only ends once. Anything that happens before that is just progress.”

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Molly Ball of the Atlantic pretty much dismissed it on CNN. This is from the transcript:

    CNN
    The Lead

JAKE TAPPER: I want to turn to another issue kind of in the pop culture sphere, and I want to warn you out there, especially if you have kids, you might find what we're about to show you a little bit graphic. It’s not an actual photograph but let me show you right now. It’s a depiction of comedian Kathy Griffin who does work for CNN on New Year’s Eve. She’s pictured in this new photoshoot holding a bloody Donald Trump head.

It's pretty disgusting, and I can't imagine how anybody would think that's appropriate. Donald Trump Jr. is out there saying this is now considered to be acceptable discourse by the left, Molly.

MOLLY BALL: I—Who is saying it’s acceptable discourse exactly?

    TAPPER: Don Trump Jr.

BALL: Who is saying it's even discourse? I have a hard time bringing myself to care about something like this. I think it just speaks to the need to see themselves as a victim that they have, that they are constantly being persecuted. It’s constantly—

TAPPER: The Trumps you’re talking about.

BALL: The Trump people are constantly having to point to the elites who are looking down on them. Of course, comedians and celebrities say dumb stuff and do dumb stuff and violence is not appropriate, but I just don't think that that's the source of President Trump's problems.

    --Antoine de Saint-Exupery

"Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold."
    --Yeats

“True, we [lawyers] build no bridges. We raise no towers. We construct no engines. We paint no pictures - unless as amateurs for our own principal amusement. There is little of all that we do which the eye of man can see. But we smooth out difficulties; we relieve stress; we correct mistakes; we take up other men's burdens and by our efforts we make possible the peaceful life of men in a peaceful state.”

--John W. Davis, founder of Davis Polk & Wardwell
