Pac-12 season starts for real in week 5:

CU @ OSU (two highest performing WRs in the conference)
Zona @ UW (first game of the season for Zona)
Stanford @ Wazzu (first real challenge for Wazzu defense)
USC @ ASU (battle for 2nd in south division?)
Cal @ Oregon (over/under on total plays?)

The most important game of this slate for the Utes is the Arizona/UW game. We need the North Division to dominate the teams from the South now that we have lost to OSU.

Aren't we sitting pretty good? If we beat UCLA this weekend, we hold the keys to our destiny. The kicker being...we have to beat UCLA. Ha ha.

I put my post in week 4. This is week 5 duh!

I ole miss forces 2 fumbles and doesn't grab either. But holds bama to a second field goal. They need to get on the board this possession.

Arizona v Washington in rain and wind. This could be very fun to watch.

Ludwig isn't looking too bad in this Wisconsin-OSU game.

Good game. Arizona looked good but beatable - you have to make them beat you through the air. I think we match up best against teams that prefer to run.

UW looks tough. I doubt they beat Oregon or Stanford, but I think they are clearly the third best team in the conference. Glad we miss them this year.

I like Wisconsin's QB.

Okay. Oregon is officially the victor over Cal. Tons of turnovers in the rain. Getting boring.

USC ASU should be a good game.

Some good games today. The Georgia/LSU game was fun to watch. I would have liked to have seen Wisconsin beat Ohio State. ASU/USC is turning out to be fun as well.

I usually pull against OSU, but if Gary Anderson is going to come into Utah and steal our recruits, I am happy to see him lose.

Charlie Strong? David Shaw? Jon Gruden? Steve Sarkisian? Steve Spurrier? Chris Peterson?

I'd bet Sark is the man. He started out at USC on the baseball team and is from SoCal. He is a mensch of a guy and would be a great fit back at USC. I hope he leaves UW this week and returns home.

What's a crying shame is that at a time when BYU has few available Mormon coach options, one of our own is about to take the helm of the greatest football program in history, USC.

Speaking of UW, I think both BYU and Utah would look pretty good in the chrome-style helmets.

Would BYU hire a non-LDS coach?

He may have attended BYU, but I am pretty sure that Sarkisian is not Mormon.

No, he's not LDS. I mean that it's a shame BYU is a small-tent mormon place. Sark is a great guy and would be a legendary BYU coach.

It doesn't matter since Sark is at a higher level now anyway. At this point, Sark would have to get the USC job, fail at it for 3 years, and get fired to become a realistic BYU candidate.

Kiffen fired after loss to ASU.

One rumor had him being fired in the LAX airport.

He and the AD met there for 45 minutes. They did it to keep the media from breaking the story before they could tell people.

Either USC rolled over or ASU's offense is going to put 3 digits on us.
