Bill is out there. We need to keep a running tally of his insightful/crazy commentary and green/hippie living. Given Bill's proclivities for strange metaphors and goofy behavior, I have no doubt this thread will quickly outstrip any other threads on the board.

I had this idea during the SDSU game when Bill posited this insightful observation: "Whoever loses this game will have their undefeated season in jeopardy."

After hearing that he compared Delon Wright to a "comet soaring across the universe" in the UCLA game, I decided that this is a sorely needed thread.

Quotes and pictures of his peyote tent or outdoor shower are all in bounds.

Bring on the Bill!

"I'm also putting Neil Armstrong in there cuz I love the guys from outer space."

Ack! This thread was lost to the Australians! Now that is a true loss.

At the UCLA game last week I saw Spence Eccles get up from his seat, turn and start talking to Bill at the scorer's table. Spence was at my ward on Sunday and I asked him about meeting Bill. He said "We talked and then Bill mentioned my name during the broadcast. Having Bill Walton say your name on national TV is a thrill."

I hope Spence's eyebrow didn't disrupt the spirit of sunday services.

Are you referring to the UCLA game or sacrament meeting? To be honest, I haven't felt the spirit on a Sunday as strongly as I did at the UCLA game. I'm sure Spence agrees with me.

Makes me want to claw my eyes out. The recent Oregon v USC games was as bad of a called game as I have ever heard.

I'll admit I found some humor in him at the start of the season, but now think 90% was because he fawns over then Utes and 10% because everybody loves a train wreck.

I am totally a train wreck enthusiast.

It's impossible for me not to love a guy who has so many natural gifts he's a freak of nature, yet he never has anything but praise for anyone else. I realize this makes him worthless as a legitimate sports analyst. He's not one. But he only spreads sunshine and in such a funny, articulate way.

Well stated.
MRD & I saw Walton in the MGM on Thursday night. He was wearing a tie-dye t-shirt and a backpack. Totally understated & unassuming. Big smile & wave when we waved hello. He seems like a really happy guy.

Several years ago, Walton was a speaker at a convention my wife was attending in St. George. Our whole family went as a spring break get away. He signed a basketball for my son, and we have it prominently displayed in our bookcase. He was a great guy, very friendly to my son and my family and very, very accessible.

You have more spectacular mementoes than anyone I know.

Reddit and Bill Walton. Together. On the Internet. What could go wrong?

Bill Walton on Redidit, 1PM ET on thursday.

For those who aren't aware, AMA is Reddit code for "Ask Me Anything". Reddit does a good job of getting celebrities and interesting people of all walks to get on and do these Q&As. They are usually, but not always, quite entertaining.

Some of the best AMAs: http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/search?q=ama&sort=top&restrict_sr=on
Some of the worst AMA's: http://mashable.com/2014/03/27/worst-reddit-amas/

I have a feeling Bill may end up on one of those two lists.
