Thanks, that was a good read. Growing up, I read a lot of my dad's old books on baseball. I always related best to Cobb, being the shortest kid in my class, not the most talented on the field, and feeling like I had to out work, out smart, and out hustle others to be successful. I didn't admire or emulate Cobb's alleged temperament, and it's good to hear that much of that might have been embellished or outright made up.

Love how the author calls out his contemporaries as basically, lazy journalists. No so-called "blue wall of silence" here.
