The first American to orbit the earth passed away yesterday at age 95. I read his autobiography a few years ago -- Fantastic!

The Right Stuff is still one of my favorite books and movies.

I didnt realize until I saw his obit yesterday that Ted Williams was his wing man in the Korean War.
