Here's my favorite solo ever recorded. Mr. Crowley 2nd solo by Randy Rhoads. It always bugged me that the solo fades out at the end. It means the radio talks over the entire last half. Start at 3:19

I'd never seen that. Pretty cool version

For those following, the solo starts at 3:28

1. Prince is definitely an underrated guitarist
2. Dhani Harrison is a reincarnation of his dad when George was young.

As for great guitar solos I would nominate the last 60-seconds of the original Layla; anything by SRV and this one that we never got to hear:

(Solo kicks in at about the 1:00 mark)

When I saw that I thought I better buy this one. Then when I was looking through my iPod I found it already in there. Love what Miles did with it in Sketches, too.

SavaUte, you are a man of taste and refinement. I love the studio version but the live version from the Mr. Crowley picture disc EP is even better.

His solos were always impeccably composed but this version is rougher and more passionate than the studio one. I've lost track of how many times I've listened to it over the years.
