L. Tom Perry was the speaker at this year's BYU graduation. I really like this quote.
“Ensure that as you leave this university and establish yourself, that wherever you may live, the gospel will always be part of your home. … Make the gospel of Jesus Christ a vital, active part of your life.”
If we think about what he means by "Gospel of Jesus Christ" we can quickly devolve into partisanship and personal theories. But, at its core, this advice is some of the best we can give anyone. Try to make living like Christ did a vital part of your life, and you will sow peace and good feelings in the world. I need to remember these things, as I all too often use my words as weapons rather than olive branches.
