Chapman down to his final 3

Per this tweet from Bubba Brown (former Chrony writer and now with the standard examiner), Brekkott Chapman is down to his final three.

Let's hope he picks us!

I like it! Personally, I don't think he's a Cougar - but maybe that's just me projecting.

But between UCLA and us, it's hard to make a case not to go to the Bruins. But never say never.

The case not to go to the Bruins:

- Family, friends can see him play at Utah

- Gets to play with buddy Loveridge

- If he goes to LA, he loses the support of sancho. Sancho will not even say things like "I wish him the best."

- UCLA is slightly unknown and in transition with a new coach.

- Chapman never beat the Lone Peak Superfriends (excelsior!). At Utah, he has a chance to beat them 4 years in a row on a stage that really matters.

- Utah offers a chance to do something great and memorable - restore a fallen program to glory. The bar to be remembered and appreciated at UCLA is somewhat higher.

FWIW, I think theyll be watching him this week at the tournament in Las Vegas. If he doesn't receive an offer from them this week, I expect him to be a Ute in the next two weeks.

What one has already suggested, as pure speculation, is that Alford at UCLA was not going to renew its offer, so Chapman snapped up the Utah offer.

My wife says the same thing. I'm pretty dense when it comes to subtle humor, especially when I'm not able to witness important facial cues to get one is joking.
