In response to the request for family photos, but with Florence as a backdrop. No drooling over my wife, and yes, I know that I married well, well above myself.

My son, Alexander, is actually the most talented photographer in the house. He took this in NYC when he was about 15 or 16.

My baby. I took about 40 of her jumping before getting this one.

I took about 20 of this sunset. This one is the best, I think.

I took this photo in May 2012 while visiting the Acropolis in Greece. That's the actual Olympic flame. A couple of hours after I was there, the torch-relay ran the flame down to the Panathenaic stadium and handed it over to the Brits for London 2012.
Even though the Parthenon had nothing to do with the ancient Olympics, it was still a cool moment, almost alone on a rainy afternoon in a place usually choked with tourists and crowds.Attachment 310
Those damned Turks and their gunpowder. Imagine how it would be......
Sony A65 with an old manual focus Minolta 50 1.4. The lens has some fungus on it, so when it is at 1.4 it gives a bit of a glow like effect that I like (you can see the "silhouette" lines aren't solid and straight, that is because the light is bleedin or glowing).
Hey USS Utah, my backyard is the same as yours... I recognize everything you've posted. Very cool.

The graffiti on the way into the US Embassy compound, we didn't put it there. Notice that it's in English.

My view every morning as I would leave my house to go to work (I lived in the reutilized pool house for the Ambassador's residence). The house you see in the photo was where Amb. Chris Stevens lived until he was killed in Benghazi.
