    Red Rocks 2014

Well, the 2014 season has started and it was bad news 20 minutes before the meet.

On her last floor warmup pass Kassandra Lopez ruptured her Achilles' tendon and is out for the season. She was performing on
    3 events

The Utes scrambled and got the win, despite counting a fall on bars. Hard to tell much about the team given that injury right before the meet, but the talent 1-12 is higher than in years past. They may need that depth

Attendance last night was 14,910. They have surpassed 7,000 season tickets sold for the first time ever.

Greg Marsden started the season 6 wins shy of 1,000 for his career. He'll be the first coach to reach that plateau.

Just happened to find the OSU-Utah gymnastics meet on the Network. Very impressive to see how full the Huntsman is. I knew already that Utah gymnastics draws a great crowd; it's just nice to see the crowd live. Cool.

“True, we [lawyers] build no bridges. We raise no towers. We construct no engines. We paint no pictures - unless as amateurs for our own principal amusement. There is little of all that we do which the eye of man can see. But we smooth out difficulties; we relieve stress; we correct mistakes; we take up other men's burdens and by our efforts we make possible the peaceful life of men in a peaceful state.”

Utes took down UGA last night in front of 15,224 fans. Utah broke their own season attendance record, averaging over 14,000 fans again (over 7,000 season tickets sold). Highest attended women's sport for the 4th time.

Red Rocks win the morning session at the Pac12 championships, which featured the 4 best teams.

No team in the late session should catch Utah, thus Utah will be the Pac12 champions.

Utah won by .75 points, a bigger margin than I think anyone expected. Stanford was second, UCLA third and OSU fourth. (Utah at 197.925 to Stanford's 197.175)
