A great story about a woman who goes to the local shelter and reads books to the dogs to keep them company.

Can these be personal posts as well? I turned 40 yesterday and had myself a pretty excellent day. Rewinding the clock 20 years, it kind of blows me away at where I am today. I've somehow managed to find a career that I love while also finding a company willing to pay way above market value for my services. My kids are great, healthy, intelligent, happy and talented little shits that make me belly laugh about 20 times a day. The other night we watched the sunset over Red Rock National Conservation Area and then the lights of the Las Vegas strip turn on all through the framing of the new home we're building. Being on the western fringe sure has a different feeling than being on the northern fringe, which is where we started nine years ago when we first moved down here.
One of my favorite surprises were the two football tickets my wife tucked into her card. Oregon State, Section w12, row 7. I'll be fasting and praying that my football attendance curse was finally absolved with the Colorado loss.
Congrats Dwight. Sounds like you have lots to be happy about.
I'm not sure spell checking would catch this.

“True, we [lawyers] build no bridges. We raise no towers. We construct no engines. We paint no pictures - unless as amateurs for our own principal amusement. There is little of all that we do which the eye of man can see. But we smooth out difficulties; we relieve stress; we correct mistakes; we take up other men's burdens and by our efforts we make possible the peaceful life of men in a peaceful state.”
