Crazy. Given the amount of his buyout, coupled with the competition for other big time jobs, I doubt Oregon is able to get someone nearly worth the cost.

Feldman lists Scott Frost, Bryan Harsin, PJ Fleck, Jim McElwain, and Dana Holgorsen as possibilities.

    We should make that call.

I would be on board with Helfrich. I would be on board with Sarkisian. I would be on board with someone who has proven success as an OC at the D1 level. I don't think you take a flyer on a guy who has just been a QB coach or someone whose success has been at a lower division.

If Whit is going to make a change, I hope he is proactive about it.

New to the site, been reading around and generally enjoy the debates on this site over some of the others. Needed to sign in to comment that Helfrich is a disaster.

    Baylor looking at Sonny Dykes.
“It only ends once. Anything that happens before that is just progress.”

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Is he a disaster as a HC or as an OC or both. He seems to have a pretty good background as an OC.

Is Sonny a good coach? He sure has a flair for the offensive, but so far his results at Cal have been subpar. I'd like all the bad coaches in the league to stick around. (RichRod, Graham, Sonny, and yes, Mora. Helton is fine as well).

No matter who the OC is we are not going to have a free-wheeling super-creative offense while KW is head coach.

Mike Macintyre to interview with Baylor...and some feel he'd be a great fit there with the whole Faith and Football stuff. #TheRiseIsForOneYear

Macintyre is a fool if he takes that job.

Time for a raise in Boulder, though.

Agree on all fronts. I just report the news of the Carousel. I'm actually a bit surprised that he'd even be willing to listen...he's going to get an extension and raise in Boulder no matter what.

I feel like it's a nice for coaches to tell recruits "Baylor offered me a job, but I'm dedicated to CU". Kyle ought to remind all BYU recruits that BYU has tried to hire him twice. "Come get the mentoring experience that they wanted to provide for you."

I don't know. I don't follow Baylor at all but Colorado loses A LOT this year. Getting to the top was hard enough; now the climb back up will be double challenging. Plus, you have USC in your division every year with a young stud QB. I wouldn't mind a fresh start if I were him.

    But, Waco?

He's got a breathtaking recruit list this year. He's recruiting like UCLA. (I sure wish Utah could recruit like Colorado. If I went and raised money for the Crimson Club, would that help?) I'm sure he'll stay. He's in a great venue and a great conference.

That "breathtaking" group looks a lot like Utah's in recent years (two four stars, and a bunch of three stars): http://colorado.247sports.com/Season...otball/Commits

Nothing like UCLA's recruiting (UCLA: 1 five star, and 9 four star)

You have to think that Utah, WSU, and CU will either have to regress to the norm or start landing more four star recruits. The success on 3 star system just can't be sustainable long term, can it?

No, unless you have Kyle Whittingham as your coach.

Probably not, because we can't do any better than we are doing and Utah recruiting will never get better. Because racism.

I am parodying statements SU has made about Utah recruiting. It's all in fun, in the dark and cryptic manner we enjoy. I will stop now!

Willie Taggart to Oregon. Rolling the dice on an up and comer. I believe helfrich is leaving the cupboard overflowing with talent and potential for him.

Will be interesting to see which coaches he retains.
