We saw this tonight. The lead actress, 26 year-old Brie Larson, has been nominated for the Best Actress Oscar. Go see it, and reserve judgment for the first 30 minutes. It's a very fine film.

I haven't read the book but everyone seems to agree that the movie is faithful to it. (The book's author wrote the screenplay.) Brie Larson is amazing. So is the little boy who plays Jack.
