Lots of guys seeing early playing time. Zamora, Bealer, Ruddinger have been in and we're not even halfway through the first half.

Jake Connor sighting. 6 minutes left in first half.

We have given up way too many offensive boards.

    Utes up 6: 19-13

Very sloppy offense. 10 turnovers already. Poor shooting.

Kuzma is the lone bright spot.

Apparently the D2 team brought the D2 refs.

Rawson showing a big time drop step jump hook.

I like how Jayce Johnson rebounds. He's physical.

Jayce is a good defender and rebounder

His FT shot is the weirdest I've seen.

One game in and I'm already putting jokl on transfer watch.

Anyone know why Pöltl isn't playing tonight?!

Best way to think about this is we are missing 2 starters & will until mid-December.

Kuzma was so much better than anyone else it is hard to tell how good he is---but he rebounded & scored at will.
Bonam looked like he was just screwing around.

JoJo struggled at the point--but he won't play that all year.
Devon Daniels will be really good --in 2 years. He did look better as the game went on.

Gabe Bealer--although getting blown by on first D---played well---2 drives & dunks on the baseline. he played better D. but he looks like he is on cruise control. Made a bad behind the back pass & promptly sat down.
He has potential---noted the score-sheet they hand out listed him as a Jr.

    Rawson is very solid.

We might be the #8 team in the league, as projected?

off point---Larry K's kid is huge & looks really coordinated.

Thanks for the comments, Old. It should be a very interesting season. Although my expectations are tempered, I am quite curious about both team and player development. Around the league, it seems as thought everyone (ok, not WSU) is signing 5* recruits. Just want to see how our coaches develop what we have.

I didn't mention Jayce Johnson. He is only 18--guy he guarded was a senior, so 22 or 23. Even though not a D-1 match up Jayce held his own & was the better rebounder.
He gets tired quickly, but probably in part because of first game nervous energy.
His FT form needs work, but he made more than 1/2.

He probably backs up Collette---but he will be really good at some point.
