    Digital Security thread

With Spectre and Meltdown, there's a lot of interesting (read: "scary") things going on in the computer/digital security space right now.

This one caught my attention today.

This researcher was able to take a normal song and manipulate it in such a way that to the human ear it sounds perfectly normal, but when in range of an audio command IOT device like Google Home or Amazon's Alexa, it processes the the audio in such a way that it thinks you gave it a command.

So while you may be listening to Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up", your Google Home hears an actual command. They have it working with 94% accuracy (meaning they can make your device do whatever they want 94% of the time using a modified .mp3 file).
