I don't follow recruiting at all, does that represent the probability of him going to the U?

That means this national recruiting expert is predicting that Daniels goes to Utah. The percentages represent how often his predictions are correct (at the time the recruit commits). I'm not sure what the two different percentages represent.

somebody tweeted out that he would not make a prediction this high unless he knows something certain. fWIW.

I would agree with that. These national guys dont generally stick their neck out on a whim. Its not for sure until he signs on the dotted line, but this is a very very good development for us. (Gotta love Brian Swinney, who no longer works for UteZone, throwing in a prediction of UCLA).

It means that he’s giving LA Ute the go ahead to start a Jayden Daniels thread already!

LOL. Touché. I deserve every bit of it.

There is little of all that we do which the eye of man can see. I don't know why we get all excited about these kids. Recent events should remind us that very often the next big thing is just a mirage. If Daniels comes, cool. If not, I really don't care anymore.

“The game atmosphere was my favorite part of the trip,” Daniels said. “I’ve never seen a crowd that crazy and that loud, it was incredible. The team played great and I was really impressed by how physical they were. I thought it was going to be a close game but Utah blew them out.

except I never want to be in a situation like USC, where a true freshman is starting. We should never start the season without a QB who's had at least a year in the program.

The pay site guys were teasing about good recruiting news yesterday. Nothing ever came out. But Lolani Langi did post that he'll be announcing his commitment tonight at 7 MST with Jr Taufuna announcing that his commitment was coming, as well. Then earlier today, I noticed this.

Brandon updated his crystal ball of all three players to Utah today.

Now we just wait on the rest of the California trio.

His offer list coming out of HS is ridiculous. My Ute fandom requires me to be skeptical.

    Why is he transferring?

He was suspended then dismissed for violating “team rules” but was later reinstated. He practiced for 2 weeks of fall camp but decided he needed a new place to play. So he gave up playing so he could concentrate on graduating in December and transfer.

It sounds like he has some history.

He may be another Josh Gordon: Worth taking a chance on, but history suggest we may never see him.

Bowen’s talent on the field was never in question at Happy Valley. But it was his antics off the field that caused frustration. In 2016, he missed the Rose Bowl due to a violation of team rules. And, one season later, he was suspended three games reportedly due to academic-related reasons and was then kicked off the team prior to the Fiesta Bowl.

EDIT: Although this is an interesting tidbit at the end:

He’s expected to graduate from Penn State next month.

The fact that he recognized his situation was going in the wrong direction and with the wrong crowd, and then worked his butt off to graduate and move to a new situation in a completely different environment thousands of miles away, shows to me that he will be a solid get and will be absolutely nothing like Josh Gordon. Remember, Josh Gordon didn't want to go to class and wanted everything handed to him.

Utah may be a landing spot for some talented transfers who were cast off by other programs, that is true. But we have a great environment for people looking to succeed and to change their ways for the better. There is a reason Darren Carrington was wearing Utah gear and cheering for his team on the Utes side of the field in the Oregon game. Players like DC, Joe Williams, etc, show the value of having a coach like Whitt to develop them into men. Domo also had his troubles, but turned things around and got his head on straight.

No, I am thinking of Quandre Mosely. JUCO transfer out if Eastern Arizona. (Note: I thought he was in HS, not at JUCO).

We're a few hours from our all eggs in one basket announces he's headed to Tempe. The early signing period is one week away. Utah may end up signing an excellent class, but at the moment, this year feels really uninspiring. Which feels even more of a let down after finally winning the south. Maybe that landslide of awesome recruits has a year lag. I don't know. Watching Washington pull in highly touted recruit after highly touted recruit isn't helping.

Anyone feeling especially optimistic to help assuage my unbelief?
