Largely accepted that if he didn't miss a game early in the season, that he would've broken OJ's single-season rushing record (for which he won his MVP in 1973). Finished with 1,934 yards (second-highest all-time when done). And really, little has changed since then. If you're MVP and you're a RB, you've done either something statistically outrageous (Barry, Terrell Davis, AP, LT, Shaun Alexander) or you're the engine on a great team (Thurman Thomas, Emmitt Smith, Marshall Faulk).
LOL - I doubt he would be interested in the new assistant coach job. It will be interesting to see what direction Whit goes with the additional assistant. I hope he goes for a veteran coach with head coaching experience. I wouldn't mind Andersen getting hired as the Special Teams Coordinator or Ed Lamb from BYU.
Weddle with another INT
Sean Smith with two INT’s

Lame. Nice to see Kansas City learned from the mistakes of the 49ers.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Interesting interview here. People in Washington are still trying to get to know Alex Smith and who he is/what he's all about. John Feinstein, who is writing a book about the QB position in the NFL has spent a ton of time with Alex and provides some really good insights about him: http://pca.st/BsGT#t=1239.0
Chief among the insights - he turned down Harvard to come to Utah, and, his foundation according to a Boston Globe study, gives the most to charity of any athlete's foundation.

Utes no longer in the NFL. For awhile, anyway.

What happened to Carrington? I expected him to go in the middle rounds. No news of even a free agent signing.
One less today. Lowell Lotulelei has informed the Denver Broncos that he’s retiring from football.
