Doesn't this belong in the "Things I Learned In Church Today" thread? Not a week goes by that I don't hear this comparison in church.
This made me laugh! It reminds me of the guys in my mission (early 90s) who were obsessed with New World Order stuff and became convinced that Clinton's election was part of the book of revelation and end of days. Some people are just plain crazy and it shows when they talk of politics and religion.
Hearing stories like this and many others out there makes me appreciate where I live and where I grew up. These types of stories almost never happen where I go, and would universally get shot down if it happened. Maybe I have lived in more 'diverse' or educated Mormon communities or something.
Doesn't the Bible say something about how Satan looks?...
Ezekiel 28: "Son of man, take up a lament concerning the king of Tyre and say to him: "This is what the Sovereign LORD says: You totally look like Legends of the Fall-era Brad Pitt, only MORE wild and untameable. If that's possible! amirite!?"
Mind you I dont remember the book too well...

“True, we [lawyers] build no bridges. We raise no towers. We construct no engines. We paint no pictures - unless as amateurs for our own principal amusement. There is little of all that we do which the eye of man can see. But we smooth out difficulties; we relieve stress; we correct mistakes; we take up other men's burdens and by our efforts we make possible the peaceful life of men in a peaceful state.”
