    Utah at Stanford

Utah takes on Stanford this weekend.

    Probables:
    Friday - Utah's Mitch Watrous (So./RHP) vs. Stanford's Mark Appel (Sr./RHP)
    Saturday - Utah's Joe Pond (Sr./RHP) vs. Stanford's John Hochstatter (So./LHP)
    Sunday - Utah's Dalton Carroll (Fr./RHP) vs. Stanford's Bobby Zarubin (Fr./RHP)

Mark Appel was picked 8th in last year's draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Big challenge for the Utes, offense has struggled, especially in PAC 12 play.

Bennett 0-5 and Nielson 0-4 in the middle of the lineup. Both came up on a few occasions with RISP. That was the difference in the game.

I was surprised to see AJ Young batting 6th, he's your best hitter at 0.350 with a slg% of 0.600, might of made a difference if he was batting higher up.

Watching the live feed it looked like Bennett's plate discipline was horrible, swinging at pitches he had no business swinging at.

So up 2-0 after 5. Anderson finally got our first hit. Stanford has 5 singles. Pond has 6 K's. And finally watching the feed, he is very good today. He has painted the corners well, and has induced alot of check swings on the strike outs.
