Have you heard anything about Duke's injury? Timeframe? Getting him back would really shore up the staff, ESP middle relief and Tuesday games

The only info I have is from the game notes, this weeks list Duke out with an injury, previous notes had him at day-to-day.

Utes are holding their own, a 1-0 game for OSU through 5 innings. Watrous 5ip, 4h, 1r, 1er, 1bb, 2k. Unfortunately, Utes only have 1 hit and struck out 6 times.

OSU has the best staff in the conference.

Watrous having a helluva a start against a good team, still 1-0 through 6 innings.

Whew, Watrous got out of that jam. 6-3 to end the inning. 1-0 after 7.

    Green in for Watrous. Watrous' numbers, 7ip, 4h, 1r, 1er, 5bb, 2k.

Green retires the side in order, on to the 9th, 1-0. Outstanding pitching by the Utes today, now lets see if the offense can step up here and score a couple of runs.

Beavers win 1-0, Matt Boyd gets the CG 2 hit shutout. Watrous gave up a run in the first inning and then pitched 6 shutout innings. Matt Boyd was amazing, nothing our offense could do against him.

Our pitching is where we need it to be, but we need to keep recruiting hitters. Imagine this team with a hitter like Cron. We could be upper third of conference. One player away, imo.

Second consecutive game Utah's opposing starting pitchers have pitched complete game shutouts. Utah went a combined 7-59, with 3BB, 15Ks and 0-9 with RISP in those two games.

Man, we are getting mowed down again. 6 up 6 down through 2 with 3 K's.

After losing 8-3, we have a lead today 1-0 in the top of the third.

Banks on the mound for the first time in about 6 weeks.

Ugh. Had two quick outs in the third, then a walk opened up the floodgates and they scored 4. Down 1-4 in the top of the fourth.

#1 Beavs are in town this weekend. If the Runnin Utes are in a blowout game, can head to Smiths at halftime. Otherwise Friday at 6p or Saturday afternoon. Softballers have UCLA so lots of Utah options this week. Really love being back home.
