    Utes vs the Fork

    Start times.
    Friday, 6:30pm - video link: http://pac-12.com/live/utahutes2.aspx
    Saturday, 4:00pm
    Sunday, 1:00pm

    Probables:
Friday: Utah's Mitch Watrous (So./RHP) vs. Arizona State's Trevor Williams (RHP)
Saturday: Utah's Dalton Carroll (Fr./RHP) vs. Arizona State's Ryan Kellogg (RHP)
Sunday: Utah's Tanner Banks (Jr./LHP) vs. Arizona State TBA

It's good to have Banks back, but he has struggled in conference play. Overall ERA is 3.38, conference ERA of 12.00. Vs. USC gave up 7 runs on 9 hits in 2.2 innings.

34 games into the season and Utah pitching has only given up 7 HR.

Doh! With, bases loaded Nielsen Ks to end the game. Two games in a row the bullpen has failed to hold the lead. Offense had its chance and couldn't get it done.

Listened to the game tonight online. As a player, there is no worse feeling than blowing it in the last inning. As a coach, there is nothing more infuriating than blowing it in the last inning.

Watrous is having another good outing, 1ER on 6H and 6Ks.

  14. #14
Wow, 8Ks through 6 innings for Watrous, now let's get some offense to compliment this great pitching.

  15. #15
Trey Nielsen with the RBI single, Utes lead 2-1 B6 1 out runner on 1st.

  16. #16
    Good-bye home run!!!!!!!!!!!

  17. #17
Eppard with a 2-run homer to RF, Utes lead 4-1 after 6.

Errors always find away to come back and bite you. Tied up B9 4-4.

Free baseball. Luke West now in.

Bases loaded, 2 out B10 5-4 ASU, Trey Nielsen up.

  24. #24
That was a gut wrenching loss. Walks fueled both the 9th and 10th inning rally's by ASU. Losing the game on a little dunk hit over 2nd was tough.

Carroll has settled in. 1-2-3 3rd. Down 3-1 going into the bottom half.

    Beautiful day for baseball.

We need someone who can hit, when is Dallas coming off the DL?

I don't know. Add the loss of Kody Davis, and the offense hadn't been the same(not that it was stellar to start)

Utah sweeps ASU with a walkoff from a local kid to end the season. Keirsey jr (helix HS) out early in the game with a probable dislocated hip. Yes that's bad, but keeping fingers crossed it's nothing worse. We lose our starting 1b, ss, all conference 3b and RF. Unfortunately we will probably also lose our Saturday starter, another local product, to one of the first three rounds of the draft. Recruiting is way up and the future is bright for this program IMO. I think last week's sweep at UCLA likely cost us an invitation to the tourney.

Hip is actually dislocated and fractured per Ute Baseball twitter.
